Rufus Cubed productions was formed in Spokane, Washington back in 1995. Terran and Ezra unearthed an ancient video assembly which consisted of many arcane parts and began creating short films of blazing inspiration. Shortly thereafter they were joined by Cole, and soon the trio were embarking on a full length feature, Chung Chung Chao. A promo for the feature sold more than one copy, and with these encouraging commercial prospects the group forged ahead with the help of many friends and family. Unfortunately, the project was derailed after a severe auto accident and the advent of girlfriends. All was not lost, however, and soon the group rebounded in 1997 to begin a new feature project, entitled Saturday Night Chao. After two years of (semi) continuous production, the film was completed and shown before an audience of dozens to great acclaim.
Fast forward three years, and the group is joined by Ty and a whole new group of Cubites. Rufus Cubed produces numerous comedic short films, and gets their first taste of critical acclaim in early 2003 with Shelf Life, a poignant summation of life in a Cubite's refrigerator. Further experiments in various film media continued, until in 2005 the group produced Return: A Warcraft Motion Picture.
Return's popularity took Rufus Cubed by surprise and the group forged ahead with new Machinima projects filmed in the World of Warcraft environment. As of the Spring/Summer of 2006, a new episode of Return is in the works, with expectations to raise the bar in Warcraft machinima for the whole community.
